Gideon Gechtman was a center pillar to Israeli art and one of Chelouche Gallery’s artists for over two decades. With rare integrity, he paved an innovative conceptual path in which he went uncompromising. His artistic language influenced and still influencing generations of artists. His creation dealt consistently and persistently with death, memory and perpetuation.
His most recent and last work “Launching Apparatus” was exhibited at Chelouche Gallery in September – October 2008, a show that was chosen by Art Asia Pacific Magazine among the ten most significant exhibitions in the world for 2008.
