Ofer Rotem, born in 1953, spent his formative years living in Israel and North America. In 1981 he received a B.F.A. degree from the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. Between 1982 and 2010 he resided and exhibited his work in the U.S. Nowadays lives and works in Tel Aviv.
In 2011 he exhibited a solo show in Israel, at the “Hightouch” art gallery in Herzliya, and in 2014 He at The Artists’ House gallery. In 2015 he was awarded the Shiff Prize for Figurative Realist Art, which included a solo show in 2016-17, at the Tel Aviv Art Museum.
Rotem has also participated in several group shows, including the Noga Gallery in Tel Aviv, the Rehovot Municipal Gallery, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
