In the exhibition ”The Iron Road – The Drawings”, at the north gallery of Chelouche Gallery, 130 original drawings – appearing in the graphic novel by Ira Eduardovna – will be presented.
The graphic novel is a peek behind the scenes of the video work “The Iron Road”, which is currently being shown at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
While drawing and writing daily, the artist returned to the journey and to the significant place in her life:
“During the last four years, I have been working on ‘The Iron Road’ – a project in which returned to the train journey that my family and I took from Uzbekistan to Russia in 1990, on our way out of the Soviet Union. This is probably the most significant journey made in my life.”
