Set in 1990s Israel, Tongue Behind Teeth (Israel, 2025 | 25 minutes | Russian, Bukhari, Hebrew | English subtitles)

follows Natasha, a 15-year-old immigrant from Uzbekistan, as she navigates ambition, identity, and social aspiration through a complicated relationship with Arthur, a 21-year-old Russian newcomer. The film compellingly explores the emotional cost of social climbing, shedding light on the tensions of immigrant life in a transformative era.
