Chelouche Gallery wishes to congratulate Nadav Weissman on his new Solo exhibition at the Petach Tikva Museum of Art.

Weissman saws, extracts, reveals, and outlines spaces and staircases from plywood surfaces. Longitudinal and latitudinal lines that alternately appear and disappear through vertical and horizontal movements—transitions and meanderings, illusory perspectives. He draws in graphite, projects video, and activates animation. All these accumulate for a fleeting moment into a surface resembling a single painterly façade, only to then separate again, marking the memory of their formation—like sediments left by time, like an archaeology of forms and materials.

The landscape before us bears traces of a seismic event, a visual occurrence laden with recognizable signs pointing toward hidden meanings: an allegorical vision of a body composed of forms embedded with symbolic meanings and values; a body whose parts are scattered, with fragmented formal, emotional, and psychological interpretations; a body that, between layers of representation, reveals the gap between the visible and the concealed, the loss of connection between the signifier and the signified. Instead, it declares an open state, where only fragments of insight and partial truths can be discerned.

There is no single interpretive ground—no redemptive or comforting foundation—but rather an accumulating multiplicity that invites new associations and connections.
