For three decades, Shamir was a cherished artist of Chelouche Gallery. She was not only an inspiring artist but also a passionate activist and dedicated educator.

Shamir’s work transcended social, political, and gender boundaries, reflecting her unwavering commitment to freedom of expression.
Central to her practice was her establishment of the art gallery and school at Sapir College, where she championed the importance of diverse voices and perspectives.
