Self-portrait with skull, 2005-2006
A series of photographs in which Yudkovik records herself (in the pre-Selfie era) in intimate moments of closeness, in her bedroom, with a skull.
This series continues Yudkovik’s preoccupation and passion for the living/dead object. This object is never dead, nor is it alive. It oscillates on the boundaries between “death” and “non-death.
